Four pieces, each made by hand in Calgary, each personalised entirely to your pet. A shadow box for the wall — their portrait, their name, their years, and a message. A slate coaster for the table — engraved with their portrait and name, to be there in the quiet daily moments. What’s in the collection

The Shadow Box

A handcrafted 5-layer basswood shadow box laser-engraved with your pet’s portrait on the front panel. The layers are stained and spaced so the piece has real depth. The front frame carries your pet’s name, their years, and a short message of your choosing. Framed in eco-friendly MDF with a premium clear acrylic front. Includes sawtooth wall hanger and adjustable tabletop stand.

The Slate Coaster

A round natural slate coaster laser-engraved with your pet’s portrait and name. Choose from two design layouts. Can be used flat as a coaster or displayed upright with the basswood easel included.

The Earrings

A pair of stainless steel disc earrings with your pet’s portrait laser-engraved on the front. Choose your metal finish (silver, gold, or rose gold) and your back design (pet name, any year, or paw print). 316 surgical stainless steel hooks — hypoallergenic.

The Keychain

A stainless steel disc keychain with fully customisable front and back — choose up to two design elements per side from: pet portrait, paw print, pet name, any year, or a short message. Pet Portrait and Paw Print can only be paired up with Pet’s Name or Any Year. Available in silver or gold. Also include two chosen charms, the color of the charms will be the same as the pendant color you chose.

Photo tips — before you reply to your order confirmation

Portrait photos (for shadow box, coaster, earrings, and/or keychain): A forward-facing photo where your pet’s face is well-lit and clearly defined works best for all four pieces. Natural daylight, unobscured face, and reasonable contrast between your pet and the background. One good clear photo can often be used across all pieces — you do not need to send four different photos unless you prefer different images for different items.

Paw print photo (if you chose paw print for the earrings or keychain): Press your pet’s paw gently onto a clean white piece of paper using a non-toxic washable ink pad, then photograph the impression straight-on in natural light. If your pet will not cooperate, a clear photo of the underside of their paw pad also works.

If your pet has passed and you are choosing between older photos: Send us two or three options and we will tell you which will produce the clearest engravings across all four pieces. We handle this with care — we understand.

Materials and making

All four pieces are made by hand in Calgary, one order at a time. The shadow box is built from 3mm basswood with a premium clear acrylic front and an eco-friendly MDF frame. The slate coaster is natural stone, sealed for moisture resistance. The earrings and keychain are made from surgical-grade stainless steel — hypoallergenic, tarnish-resistant, and engraved directly into the metal so the design will not fade or wash away. All portrait engravings are converted by hand from your photos into laser-ready designs before anything is cut or engraved.

Shadow box: display away from direct sunlight; dust gently. Slate coaster: wipe with a damp cloth and dry promptly. Earrings and keychain: stainless steel is resilient — rinse after heavy use and pat dry. All pieces are made to withstand everyday life.

Because every piece in this collection is made to order and personalised to your pet, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges. If anything arrives damaged or does not match what was agreed, please reach out within 7 days with a photo — we will always make it right. Send us a message any time before or after ordering.

Questions about this collection

Do all four pieces use the same photo?
Yes, if you prefer — one clear portrait photo can be used for the shadow box, coaster, earrings, and keychain portrait elements. You are welcome to send different photos for different pieces, and we will handle each engraving separately. Just let us know in the order which photo is for which piece.

How long does the full collection take to make?
3–13 business days, depending on the complexity of all four pieces and the current order queue. We make all pieces together and ship the collection as a set. We will keep you updated throughout and send a shipping notification with tracking when everything is ready.

Can I customise which pieces are included?
The Remembrance Collection is sold as a set. If you would like any of the four pieces individually, each is available as its own product in the shop. Reach out if you would like to discuss a customised combination.

Do you send proofs before engraving?
Yes — for every piece. We send a preview of each design before anything is engraved: the shadow box layout, the coaster, the earring portrait, and the keychain design. You see all four before a single thing is cut. Nothing is finalised until you say so.

Is this suitable for any type of pet?
Yes. We make memorial pieces for dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, guinea pigs, horses, and any other pet. All portraits are engraved from photos you send us — so as long as your photo is clear, we can work with any animal. All pets deserve to be remembered properly.
