Each earring is a stainless steel disc engraved with your pet’s portrait on the front — turned from a photo you send us into a clean, detailed laser-engraved image. The back of each disc is yours to personalise: your pet’s name, a year, or a paw print taken directly from your pet. Available in silver, gold, and rose gold.

What to send before checkout

1. A clear photo of your pet
   Used for the portrait engraving on the front of each disc. A forward-facing photo with your pet’s face well-lit and unobstructed works best. JPG or PNG, minimum 800 × 800 px. Not sure if yours will work? Send it to us first and we will let you know before anything is engraved.
2. Your chosen back design
   Select one for both left and right earrings when you add to cart:
   • Pet name — up to 8 letters, engraved in clean lettering across the back of the disc
   • Any year — a single year (e.g. 2019), engraved across the centre of the disc
   • Paw print — engraved from a photo of your pet’s actual paw print (see below)
3. If you chose paw print — a clear photo of your pet’s paw
   Press your pet’s paw gently onto a clean white piece of paper, then photograph it straight-on in natural light. The clearer the impression, the more detail we can capture. If your pet will not cooperate, a photo of the underside of their paw pad can also work — send it and we will let you know what is possible.

Photo tips

What works well: A photo where your pet is clearly separated from the background — lighter background, natural light, and a full or near-full body visible.

What to avoid: Photos where your pet blends into the background (dark fur on a dark sofa, for example), is very tightly cropped, or is partially behind an object. These may affect how much detail carries through to the engraved portrait.

If the only photo you have is imperfect: Send it anyway. We can often work with more than you might expect. We will tell you what is possible — and what we can do to make it work — before anything is engraved.

Materials and making

The earring hooks are 316 surgical stainless steel — hypoallergenic, resistant to tarnish, and gentle on sensitive ears. The round disc pendants are also stainless steel, finished in the colour you choose: silver, gold, or rose gold. The portrait on the front and the design on the back are both laser-engraved directly into the metal surface — not printed, not applied as a coating, but cut into the disc itself, which means they will not fade or scratch away with normal wear.

To keep your earrings looking their best: rinse with clean water after contact with salt water, chlorine, or heavy sweat, and pat dry — stainless steel is resilient, but a little care goes a long way.

Because every pair is made to order and engraved to your pet’s photo, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges. Questions about this piece

Is the portrait engraved on both earrings or just one?
Both. The same portrait appears on the front of each disc — so the pair matches.

Are these safe for sensitive ears?
Yes. Both the hooks and the disc pendants are stainless steel. The hooks are specifically 316 surgical grade, which is hypoallergenic and one of the most skin-safe metals used in jewellery. If you have a known metal allergy, please check with your doctor, as sensitivities vary.

How detailed will the portrait be on a small disc?
The engraving captures the outline and tonal detail of your pet’s face — fur texture, eye shape, the shape of their nose. It reads clearly at earring size and is recognisably your pet. A well-lit, forward-facing photo gives the most detail. You will see a proof before we finalise anything.

Can I order these as a living-pet gift, not a memorial?
Absolutely — and many people do. These earrings are for anyone who loves their pet and wants to carry a piece of them. They make a thoughtful birthday gift, a Mother’s Day gift, or simply something for yourself. The engraving and personalisation work exactly the same way.

How long does it take to make and ship?
Each pair of earring takes 1–3 business days to handcraft from the time we receive your photo and details. We will send you a preview image for your approval before we start the handcraft. Shipping within Canada typically takes 2–5 business days depending on your location. Expect remote area with longer shipping time, which takes around 10 business days.
