Custom Paw Print Earrings with Crystal Chips — Laser-Engraved Stainless Steel
$50.99
“Their actual paw — the one that pressed against your hand — engraved and carried with you.”
A pair of stainless steel disc earrings engraved with your pet’s real paw print, each disc suspended from four hand-selected crystal chips. Choose your metal finish and your crystal colour — by your pet’s coat, by meaning, or simply by what feels right. Made by hand in Calgary, Alberta, by Michelle and Evan.
Their actual paw, worn every day
A portrait captures a face. But a paw print is something different — it is the press of them, their specific weight, the particular shape of their toes. This earring holds that. The disc is engraved from a photo of your pet’s real paw print, so what you are wearing is not a generic paw shape but theirs — the one that landed on your lap, that you held in your hand.
Each stainless steel disc hangs from four crystal chips, hand-selected and strung on ball headpins in the metal finish you choose. You can match the crystals to your pet’s colour, pick a stone with a meaning that feels right, go by your own preference, or ask us for a recommendation.

How to get a good paw print photo

The ink-on-paper method (recommended): Press your pet’s paw gently onto a clean white piece of paper. A non-toxic washable ink pad works well — or even a little food-safe paint. Lift the paw straight up rather than dragging. Then photograph the impression straight-on in natural light, without flash.
If your pet will not cooperate: A clear photo of the underside of your pet’s paw pad can also be used. Hold the paw steady and photograph it straight-on with good, even lighting. The result looks slightly different from an ink impression, but it still captures your pet’s individual pad shape.
What to avoid: Blurry or angled photos, heavy shadows across the print, or prints where the toes are partially folded or obscured. If you are not sure whether what you have will work, send it to us before ordering — we will tell you honestly.
Materials and making

The earring posts are 316 surgical stainless steel — hypoallergenic and one of the most skin-safe metals used in jewellery. The round disc pendants and ball headpins are also stainless steel, in your chosen finish. The paw print is laser-engraved directly into the surface of the disc — not printed or coated, but cut into the metal itself, so it will not fade or wear away with normal use. The four crystal chips are genuine natural stone, strung by hand on the ball headpins and attached to the disc above the engraving.
What’s included:
- One pair of paw print engraved stainless steel disc earrings
- Four crystal chips per earring, hand-strung on stainless steel ball headpins
- 316 surgical stainless steel earring posts
- Presented in a small jewellery box
Size and how they wear

The stainless steel disc is approximately 10 mm in diameter. The four crystal chips hang below the disc, adding approximately 15–20 mm of drop depending on chip size. Total length from the earring post to the base of the lowest crystal is around 30-35 mm — roughly the length of a standard paperclip. The earrings sit close to the face on the post and move gently with the crystal drops.
Giving these to someone who has recently lost a pet, or to someone who simply loves theirs with their whole heart? We include a free handwritten gift note with every order — just leave your message at checkout. We can ship directly to your recipient with no invoice enclosed. A paw print that can be worn is a very particular kind of gift. It tells someone: I know what they meant to you.

To care for your earrings: remove before swimming, bathing, or heavy exercise, and wipe the crystal chips gently with a dry soft cloth — natural stone is resilient, but prolonged water exposure and harsh products will dull the surface over time. The stainless steel disc and post can be rinsed with clean water and patted dry.
Because every pair is made to order and engraved from your pet’s paw print, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges. If something arrives damaged or does not match what was agreed, please reach out within 7 days with a photo — we will always make it right. Send us a message any time before or after ordering.
Questions about this piece
How do I choose a crystal colour?
There is no wrong answer. Some customers choose a colour that matches their pet’s fur or eyes. Others pick a stone whose meaning resonates — rose quartz for love, amethyst for calm, obsidian for protection. Others simply pick what they find beautiful. If you would like a recommendation, choose “designer’s recommendation” and we will suggest something that pairs well.
Can I order these as a living-pet gift, not a memorial?
Absolutely — and many people do. These earrings are for anyone who loves their pet and wants to carry a piece of them. They make a thoughtful birthday gift, a Mother’s Day gift, or simply something for yourself. The engraving and personalisation work exactly the same way.
Are these suitable for sensitive ears?
The earring posts are 316 surgical stainless steel, which is hypoallergenic and widely used in body jewellery for sensitive skin. If you have a known metal sensitivity, please check with your doctor, as individual reactions vary.
My pet has passed and I no longer have them to take a paw print. What can I do?
If you have a photo of your pet’s paw pad — even an old one — we can often work from that. If you have a previous ink or clay paw print impression at home, a clear photo of that also works well. Please reach out before ordering and we will tell you what is possible. We understand this question more than most.
How long does it take to make and ship?
Each pair of earring takes 1–3 business days to handcraft from the time we receive your photo and details. We will send you a preview image for your approval before we start the handcraft. Shipping within Canada typically takes 2–5 business days depending on your location. Expect remote area with longer shipping time, which takes around 10 business days.
